Ryan Mayers is an Emmy Award-winning filmmaker whose work has been seen widely on screens of all sizes. He is a frequent collaborator with his brother Matt, creating long and short form projects as Mayers Films (mayersfilms.com). As a creative editor for over 20 years in broadcast television, Ryan's work has been seen on ESPN, CBS, MTV, DIY, BET, and The Disney Channel. While working for Harpo Studios in Chicago, he edited the documentary series Oprah Prime, among other shows for the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN). Ryan had both directed and edited several award winning films, including Jmaxx and the Universal Language, which chronicles the journey of a teenager with autism who finds expression by way of hip-hop dance, and The Million, about a Baltimore artist who paints portraits of gun violence victims to help heal communities.
