Having shared stage and screen with industry icons such as Olivia Newton-John, Rue McClanahan, Dennis Burkley, Beth Grant and the amazing Pat O'Brien early in her career, Sharon has been a busy professional actor since her childhood. Before leaving Fort Worth, TX, the hometown many performers have shared, she worked and played with music greats T Bone Burnett and Betty Buckley. Several years performing at Casa Manana Theater in Fort Worth during the 1970s allowed her to work with Howard Keel, Nannette Fabray, Ruta Lee, Ken Berry and Brent Spiner. Since then she has enjoyed a solid career as a stage, television and film actor, making it possible for her to work all over the country. Sharon's parents, Richard and Mary Garrison, supported and encouraged her desire to be an actor from the beginning. She graduated from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX with a degree in Theatre/Television, and later returned to pursue her MS in Media Studies and Communication on a graduate fellowship at TCU. A proud member of SAG, AFTRA and AEA for over 30 years, Sharon "pays it forward" by serving on the Dallas local SAG-AFTRA Board and chairing the SAG-AFTRA ProACT committee (Professional Actor Career Training) which offers panels and workshops on important film industry issues in the North Texas area. In her spare time she produces and directs short films (several have won awards in festivals around the country) and has appeared in films and three cable television shows. Her most recent TV appearance was in the recurring role of Judge Amelia Sanders for the 3rd and 4th seasons of Lifetime's popular series, Drop Dead Diva, which has now been green-lighted for a 5th season. Sharon is passionate about encouraging substantive and significant film and television opportunities for actors living all over the United States! An adjunct instructor of both stage and film acting in several colleges and universities, Sharon loves to teach and coach student actors of all ages. When not traveling as an actor and producer between Los Angeles, Dallas and New Orleans, Sharon offers one of the most sought-after taping and audition coaching services available in both the North Texas and New Orleans areas and has put hundreds of actors (both young and more seasoned) on tape for casting directors in virtually every market in the country, from Los Angeles to New York.
