Joanna Stone

Joanna has a BA in Theater and Dance from University of Texas at Austin and an MA in Dance from Texas Woman's University plus a graduate certificate in Women's Studies. She founded her own Barre Fitness method and company, Barre Vida. If you live in NYC you've most likely seen her dancing with Dance to the People, on the streets of Brooklyn, in the Tompkins Square Park alongside the Band, Pinc Louds, in a theater or even a bar. She teaches online and in-person barre classes. She performed with the award winning company, Contradanza, in Mexico City, and toured internationally before returning to the US. Joanna speaks fluent Spanish. In both the United States and Mexico she works as a print and commercial actor as well. Joanna was the host of the LIVE Warner Brother KIDS show, has performed as a stilt walker all over Los Angeles and Mexico, and practices improvisation in both dance and acting.
