Born April 17th, 1980 in Glazov, Russia. In 2003 Roman graduated from Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (VGIK), an acting workshop, instructed by Alexey Batalov with courses in directing taught by Hotinenko and Fenchenko. In 2004 Roman received a prize at VGIK festival for the best male role in the short film "Walk". The film was the winner of the numerous festivals, such as the "Saint Anna" Festival and the "Karlovy Vary" in Prague, Czech Republic; the "Beginning" festival at VGIK in Moscow, Russia; and a Student Academy nomination in Lodz, Poland. In 2006 there was another best male role in the short film "95-Fast" at "Connect" Film Festival. After several acting roles in films such as "Deti Arbata", "Yar", "Apostol", "Ivan Groznyy", "Dialogi" Roman decided to try his hand as a director and has been very successful in doing so. In 2007 Roman wrote and directed his first short film "Tasya", which won numerous awards, such as: . XVI Film Festival "Kinoshock" . special international jury prize "Obviously Advanced Cinematography Skills" . The Diploma of Jury of Producers for "Sincere Attempt of Understanding Human Relationships" . "Saint Anna" Festival . Tellurid Film Festival 2008 . New York Film Festival 2008 . At "Festival International Du Film Amateur de Kélibia FIFAK" 2009, Roman received Best Director Award. In 2013 there was another short film "Savior", which also won many awards on the major festivals, such as 35th "Moscow International Film Festival", Grand Prize of "Koroche" 2013 Film Festival in Russia, ARTKINO 2013, Audience Award at "Bydem Zhit" Film Festival, "Saint Anna" Festival, "BUTFF" Finland Film Festival and won best script at "Provzglyad" Film Festival. The film was noticed by major producers and led to Roman's first feature "A Man from the Future". In 2014 Roman also was a co-writer to the national TV series "Vpotmah", directed by Andrei Eshpai. Roman is eager to continue directing and producing more amazing films, which he hopes will move people with his unique ideas.
