Born Jason Thomas Ivey in Detroit, Michigan, JASON THOMAS SCOTT, or JTS, is an award-winning American artist, filmmaker, and television producer. STREAMING In 1999, when dial-up Internet only allowed for audio streaming, JTS pitched one of the first broadcast entities on the Internet, A.I.R. or American Internet Radio, as a potential distribution channel for his own produced and scripted radio drama content, in a $3 million venture capital partnership with Xing Technology of Arroyo Grande Calif. (later RealNetworks), Clear Channel Communications, and Trian Investments of San Francisco, Calif. Launched in July 2018, JTS currently serves as Vice President of Programming at The Zeus Network, an OTT streaming platform built by and for social media influencer content creators. TELEVISION While residing on California's Central Coast, JTS produced his first television program at the age of 19, THURSDAY EVENING WITH JASON & DAVE, a late night talk and variety show on the former The WB television network, interviewing local celebrity guests such as Jack LaLanne. Arriving to Los Angeles in 2007, his unscripted productions now include The Zeus Network's THE REAL BLAC CHYNA, VH1's BASKETBALL WIVES, Disney/ABC's HERE COME THE NEWLYWEDS, Discovery'Animal Planet's PIT BOSS, and Oxygen's PREACHERS OF L.A. FILM Growing up adoring the works of Steven Spielberg and George Lucas, JTS produced his first short film, THE TRADE in 1998, borrowing an 8mm film camera from a friend and casting office peers from the customer care call center at which he worked. Several film shorts followed, many debuting on cable television in Austin, Texas as part of the SXSW narrative shorts program. His recent micro-budgeted independent narrative features include the science fiction drama TYMPANUM, sold to and currently streaming on Amazon Prime, and the psychological thriller VISTA POINT, available on Vimeo. A member of both the Producers Guild of America and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, JTS studied communications at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, JTS points to Plato's "Allegory of the Cave" from "The Republic, Book VII" as a major early artistic inspiration and the moral justification for his works.
