Wes was born in Fort Worth, Texas in the Spring of 1977 and comes from a diverse family background with Tejano-Spanish roots that go back to the founding of San Antonio and even distant relations to George Washington. Wes grew up with a generation of friends who are phenomenal visual and conceptual artists, writers, and musicians. He is a prolific poet and video artist, having written over 2,000 poems and produced close to 150 video art installation pieces. Additionally, he began crafting an alternative otherworld at the age of 12 and continues to refine the language, culture, and geography almost daily. Wes makes his on-screen debut in the Striped Socks Productions independent feature "The Other Side Of Paradise" as The Lone Dancer. His video art also appears throughout the feature as the "Dios De La Venta" commercial showing in various scenes. He plays multiple stringed instruments, has studied Hindustani classical Indian music under the instruction of Ali Akbar Khan at the Ali Akbar College Of Music, and true to his Texas roots is known for occasionally writing country and western songs that showcase his soulful baritone voice. Wes has traveled and lived throughout North America, with a particular fondness for Mexico and its rich history and vast indigenous cultures. He also speaks conversational Spanish.
