Actor Anthony Devitt was born in Dublin, Ireland where he still lives. He was educated at Blackrock College. Anthony is the son of Stained Glass Artist Des Devitt and Margaret Devitt (Nee Kenny). His 3rd level education was at Shannon College, Co Clare, Ireland. He has appeared on stage occasionally but mainly on television. Performances include Weir'd (Stage), Desire, Desire, Desire (Stage), Get Collins (TV), Rock Rivals (TV), and Hostage (TV). His breakthrough was as one of the main cast of the KidScreen Award Winning Aisling's Diary in 2008 in which he played Aisling's dad, John. The show went on to be aired on networks around the world. Anthony also made an unusual guest appearance in BELX1 star Dave Geraghty's music video Kaleidoscope. Anthony's working interest in Film, TV & Theatre is on many levels and although acting is his passion he was also involved in projects for his ad hoc (now mothballed) production company, Viewscape Productions , with Composer, Writer & Director Colm O'Foghlú which specialized in fusing Live Performance, Sound, Light, Music and Projections in new & innovative ways. Anthony is also involved in design and branding for theatre and film and has carried out branding for An Béal Binn, the programme & publicity suite for the b*spoke theatre company production of Benefactors by Michael Frayn. Anthony is no stranger to theatre and has performed in the multimedia performance of 'In Search of Morning' by writer, director and musician Colm O'Foghlú. He has also appeared in a 'Climate Change' infomercial 'Cut Carbon-Cut Costs'. TV and Film remain his preferred medium and when not involved in these he produces, directs and acts in Corporate & Training Video Media for a range of national & international clients. He also works with people on how to improve their Presentation & Public Speaking skills Spare time is spent catching up on favourite Films & TV and swimming to 'try and stay fit'. 'I am definitely a 'DOG' person' !
