Michael DiAntonio (writer, actor, director) originally trained as a physician. Michael DiAntonio has been involved in theater and film for twenty years. He has played in over 25 stage productions in New York and Paris. He has performed in plays by Shakespeare, Shaw, Ionesco, among classical and contemporary playwrights. Several of Michael's plays have been produced in New York City and Paris. "Faust Invitro," "Bloodletting," and "The Next Step," were produced at LaMama theater in NYC. "No Civility," "Tex", and "The Veil of Fortune," were presented in NYC and Paris. "Epideo," had French and English language productions at Cine13 in Paris in 2005. "Sex, food, shelter," "No Good Deed goes Unpunished," and "Black and White" were presented by Moving Parts in Paris. With regard to TV and film, Michael has performed with Natalie Portman, played the lead in Ben Unger's "L and M," and consulted for the TV series, "ER." Following the play success, "Epideo" the feature film was shot and produced in Paris in 2007. It was distinguished at the Anaheim film festival and received an La Jolla accolade award for independent feature. In 2008, Michael DiAntonio and partners created, "Tomay Productions," a film production company based in Paris. In 2013, M DiAntonio is promoting two major film projects: "Medici," a comic satire about NY Paris elite; and "The Surgeon," an epic historic fiction about the chief surgeon for Napoleon's army, currently in preproduction.
