Jean Lodescar, Jr. who is also known by Papa Jean, is an award winning filmmaker, actor, and writer born and raised in NYC and is most notably recognized for critically acclaimed short film, The Healing. The Healing has been screened in several film festivals across North America which include The Pan African Film Festival in Hollywood, California and The Emerging Cultural Lens Festival in Canada. Although, Jean Lodescar was born and raised in NYC, he comes from Haitian immigrant parents who came to America in the 1980's. Jean has also made a name for himself as an influence within his culture with various forms for off-Broadway stage productions and online comedic sketches.
