Christy Bella Joiner

Writer, actress, producer, model, and activist Christy Bella is a modern day renaissance woman, starring in many acclaimed film productions, while simultaneously giving back to the community. She was born on May 16, 1980 in Savannah, Georgia. Her parents are Brenda St. Clair Peace Joiner and the late Jerry Cannon Joiner. Her parents were American-born and her father was born to an upper-class family in North Carolina and it is rumored that there was a name change in the family heritage. Jerry Cannon Joiner was President of Bank of America and and a multimillionaire who made his daughter and apprentice, Christy Isabella Joiner, the heiress to his estates and properties. Jerry Cannon Joiner died of cancer on Christy Bella's birthday. Her ancestry includes French, Irish, and Scottish. She was raised in Atlanta, Georgia, and spent her summers in France. At the tender age of five years old, Christy Bella was discovered by Jean-Luc Brunel, a modeling agent. Later, she was introduced to John Casablancas of Elite Modeling Agency. She adorned magazines while pursuing her education and played classical piano. Graduating high school in advanced placement classes, Joiner attended University of Georgia, Valdosta State University, and graduated from Georgia State University. She was accepted to Julliard, a highly selective school in New York but deferred her enrollment in order to pursue an modeling career. Joiner is known for her writing, television roles, and her modeling career when she was featured in Karl Lagerfeld's film Lagerfeld Confidential. She was featured in advertisements, magazines, and she had small roles in films. She writes and produces yet lives an extremely private personal life. Christy Bella was a board member of the Symphony Orchestra, created "Artists for Peace" which supports communities in her local community through programs in education, seminars on peace, and dignity through the performing arts. She has served as executive producer on several documentary short films. She voluntarily helped the south recover through Hurricane Michael, and is active in numerous charities. She is passionate about climate change, nature, and the environment. She works with former President Jimmy Carter with Habitat for Humanity.
