Gurbaksh Chahal is Chairman & CEO of RedLotus, a patented A.I. data platform that helps brands and enterprises help automate their businesses with rapid pattern identification and Founder of Taara Labs, an incubator solving problems in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, IoT and Data Sciences. He is a successful entrepreneur who has a passion for starting and growing companies that focus on cutting edge technologies. He is a firm believer that preserving the status quo is not a winning strategy. His journey started in January 1999, at the age of 16, when Chahal started his first company, ClickAgents. It was one of the first ad networks focused around performance-based advertising. Eighteen months later he sold it for $40 million to ValueClick, a NASDAQ company (CNVR). Four years later, Chahal founded his second company, BlueLithium. The company focused on data, optimization, and analytics and became a pioneer in behavioral targeting. BlueLithium was named one of the top 100 private companies in America for three years in a row by AlwaysOn. In 2006, the company went on to receive the highest honor as the Top Innovator of the Year. (Previous winners in this category included Google, Skype, and Salesforce.com.) On September 4th, 2007, Yahoo! announced it had acquired BlueLithium for $300 million in cash. By 2009, Chahal went on to create his third company, RadiumOne, which grew to become one of the fastest programmatic platforms leveraging social data from around the Web. RadiumOne was acquired in 2017 by RhythmOne, a public company on the London Stock Exchange. Chahal has been awarded 11 patents by the USPTO for developing the underlying ShareGraph(TM) technology. And, awarded 1 patent for RedLotus' NeuralBank(TM) technology with several others pending. He has also been featured on various global publications and invited to the Oprah Winfrey Show, Men's Health, EXTRA, Neil Cavuto, among others to share his entrepreneurial journey. In 2010, he received an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Commercial Science from Pace University for his career achievements as an entrepreneur. In 2019, Chahal was awarded for his renowned achievements as a global entrepreneur by the DGSMC with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Previously, he received the Leaders in Management Award presented by President Donald Trump in recognition of his success as both an accomplished leader and entrepreneur. Chahal was also invited to the White House in 2011 and 2012, by the former POTUS and the first lady, Barack Obama and Michelle Obama. He was also awarded the Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year in 2013. Chahal has spoken and taught classes to business students at numerous colleges and universities including Columbia University, UC Berkeley, Stanford University, Cambridge University, London School of Economics, Pace University, Ryerson University, CSU Hayward, Evergreen College and most recently The Indian School of Business. Chahal is also an international best-selling author of "The Dream," the true inspirational tale of his entrepreneurial journey. Chahal believes in the motto of 'giving back to the society', and has dedicated a fully registered 501(c)3 non-profit called The Chahal Foundation. As the foundation has grown over the years, it now spans across the globe spreading awareness around social causes, providing university scholarships and mentorships, supporting disaster relief efforts, improving schools in third world countries, and building awareness to help eradicate child sex trafficking.
