Samantha Jones

Samantha Jones was born in New Jersey, but lived and grew up in New York City. As a child of parents who were both in show business, she was exposed to theatre at a very young age and instantly knew acting what was she wanted to do. Her first professional Equity show was a production of A Christmas Carol produced by a local theatre company in the city. She began studying acting at 12 at the Neighborhood Playhouse. At 14 she attended LaGuardia High School of the Arts right after Performing Arts High School and High School of Music and Art merged. She was a Drama Major at the same time Jennifer Aniston and Chaz Bono attended and was in the first class to spend all 4 years in the building that still stands behind Lincoln Center. Jones worked professionally all through her highs school years, but the went away to college and continued her study of acting at SUNY New Paltz. After college, Jones went back to NYC and began her career. She spent years doing stand-up, improv, theatre and working odd jobs while keeping her schedule flexible to audition and work as an actor. She did four solo shows over 15 years and collaborated with other groups on many productions. She also had a production company with her family for several years. They produced all of Jones' original work and the artists pursuits of the other family members including film, theatre and published writing. Jones became known in creative circles for her solo character work and fearless improv comedy. Jones continues her work in improv and founded award-winning Improv Training Center, Hudson Valley Improv. She works regularly in. TV and film and is known for her breakout role as Bess Johnson in the pilot episode of BULL on CBS. Jones lives in a farmhouse with her partner and step-daughter just outside of NYC.
