Born in Texas in 1988 and currently (2018) residing in San Antonio, Schedel Luitjen has been featured as director, writer, and actor in short works filmed and staged in Scotland and Texas since 2006. In 2008, Edinburgh's Bedlam Theater hosted the premiere of Schedel's first publicly released film, 'Vampire Blob: Silent Fangs of Horror'. Schedel created Hero BLOB in 1999, and began the Hero BLOB movie series in 2005. The series has been continuing in many forms ever since, including films, radio plays, comics, and toys. Hero BLOB's legacy was continued in the form of radio plays, starting with 'Taste the Blood of Vampire Blob' in 2008, aired on Edinburgh's Fresh Air Radio. This kicked off a series of over 22 radio adventures from 2008 to 2016. The Hero BLOB radio adventures can be found on Soundcloud and at schedelworld.com and heroblob.com. Schedel graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2010 with a Master of Arts in Divinity and Classics. Following this, he graduated with a Master of Sciences in Classics in 2011. He translates Latin books to English for various small publishers, focusing on Neo-Latin works about subjects ranging from fingernails to demonology. Most recently, Schedel starred in the sixth episode of Bravo TV's 'A Night With My Ex', entitled "Don't do it, honey!".
