Alexis Jacknow is a Los Angeles based, multidisciplinary storyteller. As a writer and director, she has had projects optioned, developed, and distributed by FOX, Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu. Her debut short film, Again, world premiered in competition at the Tribeca Film Festival and was distributed by Amazon. Her other recent work includes her Hulu/20th Digital horror shorts, Clock, starring Jess Weixler, and Costume Change, which aired on FX and Freeform and was featured in the LA Times. Her episodes, Overnight and Group, for Netflix & Hulu's Love Daily, garnered her a WGA Award Nomination for Short Form Original. Alexis is in pre-production on her first feature, The Villager (2019 IFP Week No Borders Selection), and is in development on her horror feature, The Blindings, with 21 Laps. An an actor, her career spans film, television, theater, and dozens of national commercials. She holds a B.F.A. in Acting from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and sits on faculty as a Lecturer at UCLA's Department of Theater. Alexis is a proud member of SAG/AFTRA/AEA/SDC, and the IAMA Theatre Company.
