Greg Tamura landed his first role in HBO's episodic comedy TOGETHERNESS directed by Mark Duplass. Since then he has booked numerous national commercials and roles in HULU's FUTURE MAN directed by Wendy Stanzler and FX's AMERICAN HORROR STORY. Greg Tamura has completed a two year course in the Meisner technique taught by Don Bloomfield, a protege of Sanford Meisner (Neighborhood Playhouse, NY). He has extensive training in improv (UCB) and works with acting coach Dianna Castle. In 2018 Greg booked a national spot directed by Craig Gillespie, the award winning Director of I, Tonya. In Future Man (HULU series produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg) Greg played a character that was unanimously described as "super hipster". After working with the prolific Mark Duplass on HBO's TOGETHERNESS, Mark direct booked Greg for four Lyft commercials alongside Fortune Feimster. Born in Berkeley, CA, Greg Tamura has been following his creative passions his whole life. Half Japanese and half Irish, he never identified as Asian or Caucasian. "I'm a California kinda' guy", Greg explains. At 18, Greg began his creative career producing, writing and performing music. Eventually, he moved to LA and started a darkwave/electro group called Hollywood Kill. He appeared in the LMFAO music video "I'm in Miami" and toured Europe opening for Marina and The Diamonds (Warner Music). When he discovered acting he put his music career on hold and dove full time into his acting training. Greg's passion and creativity is infectious. "I am going to be an actor for the rest of my life. I never stop working." Between acting work, he keeps his creativity alive by writing and directing. "If I find myself without anything to do, I write something and shoot it." Greg has written and directed 5 short films. In 2016 Greg directed the short film INTENTIONS which was accepted into the DTLA Film Festival. Since 2015, Greg has been volunteering his time as an actor at AFI.
