Emilie Upczak, a native of Colorado, holds an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts in Film. She is an EAVE and Rotterdam Producer's Lab alumni and is known for her feature film 'Moving Parts' (2017), set in Trinidad and Tobago, where she lived and worked for 10 years. Emilie has also written, produced and directed a number of short experimental and documentary films and is the Producer for 'Nearest Neighbour' (2019), directed by Rhonda Chan Soo, a web based documentary exploring the lives of Venezuelan migrants in Trinidad and Tobago. Emilie is a lecturer at University of Colorado, Boulder in the Department of Cinema Studies and Moving Image Arts.
