Alex Fumero is a producer, creative developer and writer based in Los Angeles. Alex's recent credits include "Mucho Mucho Amor" (Netflix), an Official Selection of the 2020 Sundance Film Festival - U.S. Documentary Category, and "I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson" (Netflix) . He previously served as Vice President, Original Programming, for Home Box Office, responsible for the development and production of original comedy and alternative programming, including specials, as well as non-linear programming for HBO Now and HBO Go. Fumero's projects at HBO included 2 Dope Queens, Random Acts of Flyness, Lemonade, the Untitled Jon Stewart Project, All Def Comedy, Any Given Wednesday with Bill Simmons, Felipe Esparza: Translate This and Chris Gethard: Career Suicide, among others. Prior to joining HBO, Fumero was Senior Director of Programming & Development for Fusion, a joint venture between Disney/ABC Television and Univision, targeting diverse millennials. A member of the founding launch team at Fusion, he co-created F-Comedy, a digital news satire studio, was responsible for the national debut of The Chris Gethard Show, executive produced by Will Ferrell, Zach Galifianakis and Adam McKay (Funny Or Die), Paul F. Tompkins' No, You Shut Up! (Henson Alternative), and Mondo Media's animated series Like, Share, Die. Fumero has a diverse background including production, writing and performance in film, TV, digital and theater. He is a fully bilingual and proud Latino, and holds a BFA from NYU Tisch.
