Alison Tafel is a Colorado born writer and actor, currently developing her own adult animated comedy show for Netflix. In 2020, she served as a monologue and sketch writer for THE TONIGHT SHOW STARRING JIMMY FALLON. Prior to Fallon, Alison wrote for three seasons on the Netflix series BOJACK HORSEMAN, with her episode "The View From Halfway Down" earning her an Emmy nomination for BEST ANIMATED COMEDY SERIES in 2020. Alison was also nominated for an Annie Award (Animated Film Association) for BEST WRITING ON A TV SERIES for her episode "Feel-Good Story." In 2019, Alison was a semi-finalist for the HUMANITAS NEW VOICES AWARD for her pilot "A Little Much" and in 2016, she was one of six writers selected from 1100 applications to attend the NBC LATE NIGHT COMEDY WRITERS WORKSHOP. Additionally, Alison has trained and performed with Second City Chicago, Upright Citizens Brigade Los Angeles, Improv Olympic Chicago and The Groundlings. Alison resides in Toluca Lake with her civilian husband, Zach, and their two cats Story and Typo. Her manager is Brendan Bragg at Haven Entertainment. Her agents are Chris Noriega, Manal Hammad, and Matthew Doyle at Verve.
