Cuban-American delaVega was raised in Miami and has spent the last six years living in Los Angeles where he balances working on bi-coastal feature, TV, and commercial directing projects. He's currently in post-production with his feature film directorial debut BookendS, a drama depicting the fall out after two couples decide to swap partners. delaVega served as the Second Unit Director on George Lopez's new TV series' pilot for TV Land Are You George Lopez? directing VFX shots as well as on the feature film Tony Tango, starring Max Maulion and Antoni Corone. He was also the 2nd unit director on Play James Play, a thriller starring Jake Busey and Thomas Howell. delaVega directed several short films that have screened in film festivals nationally and internationally including Don't Look Down, winner of the Sir Edmund Hilary Award. He also wrote and produced over 350 international on-air promos for the U.S., Central American, and South American markets and worked with clients such as Lady Gaga's Born This Way Foundation, MTV, Directv, the Discovery Channel, Starz, ESPN, and the UFC. He is currently in different stages of development on several feature films.
