Justin Matthew Garza was born in May 1983. Raised in a suburb of Dallas, Texas, he grew up on stage competitively acting at a very early age. In high school, he discovered independent filmmaking, and in 2002 attended Columbia College Chicago for acting and film directing. Then, in 2007, Justin felt led to service. He enlisted in the Navy and served 12 years as a Navy SEAL and Special Operations Hand-to-Hand combat instructor. After leaving the Navy in 2019, he attended the prestigious UCLA Graduate Film School for an MFA in Narrative Film Directing, and also studied at UCLA's Extension school for Screenwriting and Producing. Based in Los Angeles, Justin has acted as a recurring role on one of Amazon Prime's biggest budgeted series, Terminal List (2022), as Victor Ramirez, and also in Alex Garland's upcoming movie Civil War (2023). He held a lead role in The Unexpected (2022) and has performed in several short films and numerous theater productions. He is the recipient of the Delia Salvi Memorial Award for directing and has directed award-winning short films, prime-time television spots, and commercials. Justin also co-directed Worth The Fall (2006), an award-winning short film that played on Showtime about a Hispanic immigrant janitor who makes a big sacrifice to stand up for what is right.
