Annette Algoso

Annette, aka "Nettie" to those close to her, has always been none other than an actress to her friends and family since the early age of 6 years old when she began imitating commercials on TV and performing them in front of whoever would pay attention to her. Her very first time on stage as a young hula dancer performing for tourists who visited her homeland of Honolulu, Hawaii ignited her love for entertaining. She took off for Hollywood directly after graduating from high school to pursue her dream, but "life" happened, and she ended up down another path where she had to put her career on hold. However, her desire and passion of acting never left her heart. Upon returning to Hawaii, she started up again and took acting classes, signed with an agent and did a few local projects. She later moved to Fort Hood, Texas, with a fiancé and to a place not known for much culture and arts, but more so, for the brave soldiers who sacrifice their lives for us every day, and whom she will always have a fond respect and place in her heart for. Having worked side by side with them for a long while and despite being in an unusual place for an actor, she always knew in her heart that her dream was not meant to be just a "dream" and that was not going to be her final stop and eventually moved to Dallas. There she continued with her acting training, and signed with one of Texas' highly regarded and well-known agents, Linda McAlister. Annette continues to hone her skills, not only through ongoing training of the arts, but by simply "living, absorbing, learning, accepting, observing, sharing, teaching and loving" each day. She truly believes that acting is a reflection of real life and everyday human emotions and experiences; therefore, "the best training an actor can receive is through being in touch with reality and our God-given senses: seeing, listening, feeling, smelling, and tasting and allowing oneself to be understanding, revealing, courageous, compassionate and intuitive about the "truth" of life itself."
