Ulla Pirttijärvi-Länsman, born in Angeli, Finland, 1971, is a Sámi joik singer, vocalist and composer. She lives in the Cap of North part of Finland, performs traditional joik music with Western arrangements of contemporary instruments. Her career as a singer began in 1989 with the group Angelin Tytöt. In 1996 her career as a solo artist took off with the book and album "Honkon dohkká", which won the Saami Council cultural prize. She married the reindeer herder Jari Heiki Länsman, the couple first got a daughter Hildá in 1993 and later a son Nilla Ande. Both of the children are musicians. In 2014 Ulla Pirttijärvi formed the music group Solju together with her daughter Hildá Länsman.
