Nanak McCann

Nanak McCann is a Filmmaker and Set Designer, who has worked with Streetlight Films, NBC Moving Parts, and DGK. Nanak co-wrote the branded content feature film DGK Parental Advisory, which hit #1 on iTunes when it premiered. Nanak wrote the screenplay,KANO, ranked in top 10 in 2020 on The Blacklist website, and was hailed as "incredibly dynamic story that uses the mysterious and unique backdrop of the Philippines to create an aura of compelling drama in which to set this action-packed character based thriller." Nanak's directorial debut was the short film For Maj, which premiered at Mendocino Film Festival, and was praised as a "heartfelt coming of age story". Nanak's second film as a director is A Rosary and a Diamond Ring. A film about the difficulties of living with PTSD. As the son of Vietnam veteran, the story is close to Nanak's heart, and it is told with honestly and compassion. A Rosary and a Diamond Ring will premier at the Mammoth Film festival in March 2023.
