Minami is best known in Japan for her role as Yoko Minato/Kamen Rider Marika in the television series, Kamen Rider Gaim. She is affiliated with Japan Action Enterprise. In 2018, Minami is "Minami-Metal," touring with the Japanese Kawaii Metal band, Babymetal. Minami is a dancer/actress performing in most of the songs on their world tour.
