Bin Huang

Producer, talent manager, and marketing executive, Bin Bennie Huang is the CEO for top Chinese actor Xiaoming Huang's production company. Bennie also manages Xiaoming and is one of China's top "new generation" producers. He's perhaps best known for producing In Love We Trust (2007), which won the Berlin Film Festival's Silver Berlin Bear Award. Bennie has worked extensively under the tutelage of top Chinese Director Kaige Chen (director of Farewell My Concubine (1993) and The Emperor and the Assassin (1998)), and co-produced his film Sacrifice (2010). Bennie is a pioneer of Chinese film development and project planning and highly experienced in both fields. Besides Sacrifice, he's produced numerous films including The Robbers (2009) and An Inaccurate Memoir (2012). Bennie also produced the famous Chinese television series Jing Zhong Yue Fei, projected to go down in the annals of Chinese television history as a classic work. Outside of film and television production, Bennie has acted as moderator for the Shanghai Film Festival's "New Wave" forum. He's also an industry mentor at China's Phoenix School of Communication. Bennie is a pioneer and major player in integrated film marketing strategies, having acted as marketing executive for The Promise (2005), Nanjing! Nanjing! (2009), and Forever Enthralled (2008), which now stand as classic examples of effective marketing and promotional strategies. Bennie is also a spokesperson and societal activist who frequents numerous functions. In 2010 Bennie helped plan the Shanghai World Expo promotional video, Magic City. He was also the founder of the China Cup International Regatta "Blue Festival" high-end dinner, created the Chinese Martial Arts Global Festival, hosted the unprecedented "Chinese Cinema's Three Generations of Kung Fu Film Stars," and has become a hallmark figure in Chinese film and television.
