Basil Mironer was born in Russia and immigrated to America in the late 1980's. He is a filmmaker with an MFA in Film and Television Production from NYU Tisch. As a cinematographer, Basil has filmed over 30 global film productions for both short and long-form content. As a writer/director Basil won the prestigious Sonje Award at the Pusan International Film Festival for Rare Fish (2009) as well as the audience award at the DGA. Basil feature directing credits include, Bart Bagalzby and The Garbage Genie (2020), a kids comedy fantasy musical with Creed Bratton and Kevin Farley, and Dandelion (2020), a raw documentary exploring family and self-acceptance.
