Whitney Grace was born in Edmonton, Alberta, and started her professional acting career in Central Alberta. Growing up on the ice, or on the court, Whitney's passion for sports gave her an early understanding of discipline and working hard towards her goals, which she carries with her to acting. Now living in the beautiful city of Vancouver, Whitney is making herself known. Studying with top instructors such as Matthew Harrison and Shea Hampton. Whitney's drive has led her to create work producing a short film (Summer 2012) with Slate Productions and mounting the stage play Hooters(Ted Tally) in the Havana Theatre (Fall 2012). Whitney Grace graduated from the Red Deer College Theatre Program (2007) and the Motion Picture Arts Program (2009). Whitney spent two seasons (2009 & 2010) on stage with Bullskit, Against the Wall Theatre's sketch comedy show. Success from Alberta propelled Whitney to the Vancouver Theatre Sports stage for their Rookie Nights. Whitney accepted roles with Shakespeare in the Park, in Red Deer, with Prime Stock Theatre (Summer 2010). Throughout the season the company put on two shows: Whitney Grace played the lead, Adriana, in Comedy of Errors; and Ursula, in Much Ado About Nothing. Whitney Grace's aspirations for film have made her a respected and passionate member of the film community. She is proud to have started her own production company, Slate Productions, in 2010. Her debut piece, a short film called Becoming was nominated for a Rosie in May of 2011. Whitney acted in the short as, rock star Rachel Jones, who wakes up to find she is now part of secret society... only problem is she had to die to get in. Another of her film credits is on The Baby Cliff (2011), with Director Dominique Keller, where Whitney starred as Gloria, a woman pressured by her mother to have a baby. The film was broad casted on CBS, as one of the top 10 in their CBC National Short film festival and received multiple Rosie Nominations in May of 2012. Throughout her experience on screen or behind the scenes, Whitney Grace has developed a keen interest in stunts and fight coordination. She was recognized by the Fight Directors of Canada as an actor combatant and has earned credits as a Fight Coordinator in several independent films throughout Central Alberta. She has worked with professionals like Robert G. Goodwin (LA Fight Master), David Bouchey (International Stunt School), Adrian Young (Alberta Fight Director), Rick Skene (Goon, 2012) and Daniel Ford Beavis (Saskatoon Stunt Man).
