J. M. (Penny) Hall spent 3 years as a Producer at the Animation Studio Cinematico in San Francisco from 2008-2010, working on games such as Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2: Fusion, Spiderman: Web of Shadows, How to Train Your Dragon: the Game, the animated TV series Xavier: Renegade Angel - Season 2, and more; before relocating to Los Angeles after completing her MFA in Motion Pictures & Television with a focus on Directing & a minor in Concept Development from the Academy of Art University in 2010. From 2010-2016, time was split between working on various commercials with the companies Streetlight Films, then Bully Pictures as an Associate Producer, as well as consulting work at Warner Bros & DC Entertainment Studios, where she was employed as a Media Sales Planer, Domestic Television Distribution Coordinator, Executive Assistant, as well as a Digital Production Artist. Since 2016, she has worked on various shows as a Production Coordinator, APOC, Art Dept Coordinator, Set Dec Coordinator, and is active in Local 871. Her BFA is in Computer Animation with a double major in Traditional & Stop Motion Animation paired with a minor in Drawing from the Savannah College of Art & Design in 2003. In the interim between degrees, she taught Fine Arts & Animation at Bethune Elementary, a Title 1 school, for two years in Broward County Florida after a year of substitute teaching in the DC Metro Area. Her thesis, Flavors: An Existential Exploration Through Seven Short Films was published in 2011.
