Ajani Jackson grew up in a mid-Michigan college town, the son of professors. After graduating from the University of Kansas, Ajani earned his Screenwriting MFA from Columbia University. His short projects received the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Short Film Award & the Everest Entertainment Development Award, before playing at film festivals around the world. His feature screenplays have earned him second-round consideration for the Sundance Feature Screenwriting Lab and a sponsored residency at the Nantucket Screenwriter's Colony. In Ajani's spare time, he has taught film, and dramatic writing in programs such as the National High School Institute, worked with at-risk youth and created art instruction programs with organizations like the World Economic Forum.
