Meagan Daine is a multimedia storyteller specializing in alternative coming-of-age tales about diverse characters in extraordinary circumstances. Born and raised in East Texas, she moved away at age 17 to attend the all-female Mills College in Oakland, CA, on a full academic scholarship. To support herself while building a writing career, she worked as a waitress, an ESL teacher, a "jolly" in a Roman dance club, a theatre manager, a magician's assistant, and a private investigator. Meagan speaks fluent Spanish and Italian, along with some French and Russian. Her stage plays have been performed at The Road Theatre Company, Greenway Court Theatre, Stay Awake Theatre, and the Athena Cats Theatre Festival, among others. In 2017, Meagan wrote three episodes of the short-form horror anthology series THREADS from New Form Digital. Her first feature film, contemporary Western thriller WEST OF REDEMPTION (Kairos Productions, starring Billy Zane), won multiple festival awards and was released by Indican Pictures in January 2019. She has written for Parcast podcast series CULTS, CON ARTISTS, and FEMALE CRIMINALS, among others, and is a staff writer on the one-hour television drama GAMES PEOPLE PLAY.
