Carlos Alberto López is a Venezuelan actor, born in Caracas, Venezuela, and grew up in Venezuela and USA. He is the son of Lourdes Sifontes, an attorney, and Alberto López Tabares, a mechanical technician from Spain. Being the son and grandson of immigrants, he inherited the free spirit of living in different parts of the world, including USA, Finland, Spain and Puerto Rico that he calls his permanent home. His stays in different parts of the world, made him learn several languages, like English, Finnish, some Russian and Italian, as well as his mother tongue, Spanish. He started studying Accounting at the Andres Bello Catholic University, in Caracas and finished his studies in The University of the Sacred Heart at San Juan, Puerto Rico, obtaining a BBA major in Accounting and a Minor in Transportation Management. He also was part of The Arctic Studies Program at The University of Lapland, in Rovaniemi, Finland. He began exploring his acting vocation, playing on several University Plays in Venezuela, Finland and Puerto Rico. His debut as an international Hollywood actor was playing The Camera Samaritan next to Milla Jovovich and Steve Zahn in a A Perfect Getaway (2009). His next major feature film was The Rum Diary (2011), based on the novel by Hunter S. Thompson(Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998)), joined an all-star international cast Johnny Depp, Giovanni Ribisi, Aaron Eckhart, Richard Jenkins and Amber Heard. López plays The Union Leader of the newspaper The San Juan Star. Later, he starred in the ShowTime TV Series Homeland (2011), as a corrupt money Laundering banker, next to Rupert Friend. López also appears in Speed Kills (2018), next to John Travolta as a Panamanian Drug Dealer, based in the life of Speedboat racing champion and multimillionaire, Ben Aronoff, leading a double life that lands him in trouble with the law and drug lords. He is also well known for been an actor on many Puerto Rican movies like Orfanato de cafres (2009), Qué Despelote! La película (2010), Witness: El Testigo (2011), ¡Que Joyitas! II (2013), Reggaeton the Movie (2013), Todo x Sara (2014), Back to the Beginning (2015), Los Domirriqueños (2015), Andrea y Lorenzo (2016), Yo Soy Un Político (2016) and Vico C: La vida del filosofo (2017). He is a short-film producer with Angel Janer (Director-Writer-Producer), and their films have won many awards in different Movie Festivals around the world. They include Reggaeton Zombie (2012), Vergüenza impedida (2013), Voces por un Mundo Mejor (2014), Los Reyes del Barrio (2013), El Deseo (2015), Macharran (2016), Hey (2016) and Divina (2017). On radio, he is known for been the host and producer of 1140AM programs Despierta conmigo, Sin Gringolas and the long-running De Todo un Poco.
