Jonathan Bruce

Jonathan Bruce was born in Auckland, New Zealand into a family of School Teachers, Head Masters & School Inspectors. He is based in Los Angeles where he is an Audio Post Sound Editor and Foley Artist. From his teens to mid 20ties in New Zealand and Australia Jonathan formed several Free Noise, Breakcore and Electronic music ensembles and toured Squat Spaces, Clubs & Festival circuits throughout Canada, Europe, NZ & Australia. In 2008 he became the first New Zealand Laptop Battle Champion, and started work in Audio Post with Chris Burt at The Inside Track in Auckland, New Zealand. Becoming a freelance Sound Editor and Foley Artist in 2010. In 2011 he founded the Masters of Foley, a collective of Auckland based Audio Post professionals. A group dedicated to recording high end Foley, Atmospheres and Sound effects libraries. In 2013 he moved to Los Angeles where he continues to pursue the subtle and reclusive field of Post Production Audio for Film & Television. He recently entered into his fourth decade and has thusly given up on following popular music.
