As a child, Jordan grew up in a single parent home constantly moving to different cities within Southern California. In elementary school Jordan Michael Martinez competed in tournament Chess eventually becoming a "Western, United States Chess Champion". At seventeen, during the surge in troop numbers in the Middle East, Jordan asked both his parents to sign off for military recruitment. He enlisted in the United States Army and became an Army Paratrooper. Most of his time overseas was spent in the volatile area of Kandahar Province, Afghanistan in support of, "Operation Enduring Freedom". Overseas he conducted Civil Military Operations, patrols, atmospherics, worked closely with USAID, Psychological Operations and local contractors to help bring stability to the Afghan people. Later in his career he finished his service serving with United States Joint Forces, Japan. Jordan believed at one point his true calling was to become an Army Special Forces General. After an unexpected loss he chose to turn to his true passion in life, film Directing. Ever since that moment he has never looked back. While in undergrad at "California State University, Fullerton", Jordan worked in Hollywood in stunts, directing shorts, music videos and even as a manager for musical artist/songwriter, "Brenton Wood". Just recently, Jordan finished USC's MFA Cinematic Arts - Production program and resides in Los Angeles where he pursues his passion in Directing. During his time at USC he has become proficient in multiple technical skills including special effects. His life long mission in life is to tell authentic stories from the Global War on Terror, shed light on Veteran's issues including suicide and help build Latino inclusion within the film industry.
