Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Maurice Winsell comes from an Italian, Swiss and Spanish heritage. His mother, Gloria Winsell is from El Salvador and his step-father, Keith Winsell came into his life at the age of 6 later on adopting him at the age of 16. After relocating to an Native American reservation in South Dakota and being forced to learn piano at a young age, the young Maurice found comfort in his local school theatre productions that would later ail him with overwhelming desire to be an actor. His family would later relocate to the Southeast part of the United States (Georgia and Alabama) where Maurice found more success in school and community theater projects. After graduating from Jacksonville State University with a degree in Public Relations, Maurice went off to Chicago learning Improv at Second City. He would later relocate to Atlanta, Ga where he now resides with his fiancée Melissa and their children. He has appeared in commercials and has credits such as "A Friend of the Family," "Missing Pieces," and the independent college hit "Tick,Tock" An energetic goofball, Maurice's range isn't defined as his ability to throw himself into the reality and absurdity of the scene helps find the right balance.
