Paul Plett

Paul Plett studied at the Toronto Film School, and has spent the last 10 years developing an international reputation in film production. He tells stories that explore the human condition, wherever that may lead him or his viewers. Paul's independent films have won him acclaim around the world, having been officially selected by the Los Angeles International Children's Festival, the Toronto Independent Film Festival, the Global Peace Film Festival, the Victoria Independent Film Festival, and the Canadian International Film Festival to name a few. His film company, Ode Productions, operates with the mandate of Conscious Entertainment, and they strive to produce films that are as entertaining as they are informative. Their objective is to make films that take you on a ride and open your eyes to the world around you, because they believe that an audience shouldn't need to choose between watching something exciting, and watching something informative. As they state on their website "If we open our eyes to the world, there's no telling where it will take us." He has recently produced I Am A Mennonite, exploring his own Mennonite roots and identity. Paul resides in Winnipeg, Manitoba, with his wife Annie & daughters Rose & Elyse where he divides his time between producing fictional films & documentaries.
