Frankie is an artist and storyteller, a multi-skilled creative, working as a film director, editor and photographer. Frankie's passion extends to feature films, commercials, short films, feature documentaries and immersive VR content. Frankie creates unique visuals using an expressionist cinematic language that draws inspiration from the beauty and the visual world as well as from the most cinematic documentary narratives, often working on authentic powerful stories. In 2004, after he gets his MA in Bologna, he is awarded with a tuition scholarship of one year for a course of "Filmmaking and Cinematic Grammar" so he moves to Milan where he starts his career as editor working for post productions and production houses, directing also independent short docs & short films. In 2008 he moves to London where he collaborates with post houses as The Whitehouse, The Mill and Family Editing among others working with such clients as Google, Selfridges, Nike and Nokia. He edits feature documentaries "Girlfriend In A Coma" and "Europe At Sea" written by Bill Emmott, former Director of The Economist. He works on theatrically released feature documentaries like "Tempest" and BFI funded short film "Truck" with Rob Curry. In 2015 he starts directing commercials signing a worldwide representation with Great Guns London. His work is soon on the pages of Campaign, Little Black Book, the Guardian, The Drum, CreativePool, SohoSoho; his films have been 5-starred by David Reviews and collected awards from The Telly Awards, BFI, Webby, D&AD among others. As a photographer his work has been exhibited in Italy and UK, at the Residency of the Italian Ambassador in London, at Fiumano Fine Art Gallery and at the Wandsworth Museum among others. His photographs have been included in the Portrait of Humanity book, published by Hoxton Mini Press in collaboration with Magnum Photo and The British Journal of Photography.
