David Aston

David Aston (born David Williams) was born in Aston, Birmingham, West Midlands, England. He now lives in Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire, England, has been happily married for over 40 years, and has two adult children. He went to school at Upper Thomas Street School in Aston, Birmingham. He attended the Birmingham School of Speech & Drama from 1970-1972. He attended the University of Leicester from 1992-1995 where he got a masters degree in education. David spent 8 years in the Merchant Navy and Royal Navy, before leaving as a navigating officer to start at the Birmingham School of Speech & Drama. David then worked for 30 years in the Police Service where he spent his time on the front line, in CID, and dealing with victims of crime. He enjoyed the work immensely even though many nasty bits had to be dealt with, he felt it was rewarding. He has since retired from the force. In his spare time David did theatre work, musicals, plays and was part of a music hall group. Since retiring from the Police Service, David has become an actor full-time after doing a refresher course in London, and thoroughly enjoys the work. He particularly enjoys film and television roles. He has also acted in adverts, training videos, and a music videos.
