Janine has been attracted to the arts since she was a young child. Either dancing in kick lines at prestigious schools, learning and playing violin, or delving into acting she has always found a great empowerment in creating and making her own work. This love of art and entertainment has now moved to its next logical phase with writing, producing, and overseeing a production from start to finish. Janine's first foray into producing was back in 2007. Janine co-founded The Granite Theater and produced a Night of One Acts with David LaRosa. It was after that experience that Janine felt that her interests resided in producing and making films. She and Dave discussed their options and soon in 2008 independent film company Feenix Films was formed with two other members. Soon thereafter Kate McGrath joined the company as its Business Director and the trio has been working together ever since. During their run with Feenix Films Janine, Dave, and Kate wrote, produced, directed, and acted in all of their own films. Each step pushing their abilities and productions to the next level. This continued forward-thinking-focus helped the company to receive multiple film festival awards and distribution on many of their films. The group's last film, 'Clandestine', was honored at the Houston International Film Festival, with a win as best Crime/Drama along with a Best Actress win and nominations for Best Supporting actor for three of its actors. Along with this Clandestine was able to attain a Sales Agent and world-wide distribution through Screen Media Ventures. It is currently streaming worldwide on a multitude of platforms and still receiving positive comments and reviews from audiences since it's 2016 release. Janine's producing talents strongly come into play in the post-production phase of the filmmaking process. Janine has a keen ability to tap into what audiences like, what drives the story forward, and how to keep "the movie going".
