Dan Carter is the world's highest point scorer in test matches in Rugby Union and is viewed by many fans and experts as the best fly-half in rugby history. He is one of only two players to have received the prestigious IRB Player of the Year award three times, in 2005, 2012 and 2015 respectively. He won the the Rugby World Cup two consecutive times with the All Blacks, in 2011 and 2015, becoming one of only twenty other players who have won the competition twice. In 2015, in the Rugby World Cup Final match against Australia, he was named Man of the Match for his outstanding performance, having successfully kicked four penalties, two conversions and a drop goal.
