Maydelle Clarice White was born and raised in Houston, Texas. Although she is not a studio-trained dancer, Maydelle has been dancing since she could walk. Dancing is one of her favorite hobbies and she has been apart of the national group FLASH MOB AMERICA since 2009. Maydelle 's fate as an actor was sealed her junior year of high school when she got the lead role in her first full-length play RUMORS by Neil Simon. That experience let to other great roles in high school and Community Theater, which prompted her to seek training in Film and TV. Maydelle then joined Sterling Knight (So Random, 17 Again) and several other actors from the greater Houston area in a 6-week workshop and showcase at the Kim Terry Acting Studio. After high school, Maydelle Clarice studied business and theatre at California Baptist University. There she was apart of the Celebration Drama Team, a group that toured the western U.S. performing scenes, monologues, vignettes, and one-acts under the direction of Gary Griffiths and overseen by the late Melodie Yocum. After a short time at CBU, she decided to gather a few more tools and transferred to the University of Southern California where she majored in Cinematic Arts-Production. Upon graduation Maydelle immediately began working as an executive assistant at the family film company Illumination Entertainment. Gaining experience in their marketing, production and development departments Maydelle has worked on several of their films including Despicable Me, HOP, The Lorax and upcoming DM2. Recently, Maydelle has decided to use all of the tools she has gathered to pursue her passions as an actor and filmmaker full time. Stay tuned for the journey ahead.
