Massimo Russo is graduated as a graphic designer in Turin (Italy) in 1992. After the school he worked as a free lance graphic designer and he traveled for seven years during which he lived in Turin, Bordeaux, Edinburgh and London. In 2000 he enrolled at the University of Turin where he graduated in History of Cinema in 2009 with a discussion on "The fabulous world of Amelie". His first work is the documentary "Genova Libera (Free Genoa)" about the facts of the 2001 G8 Summit where Massimo Russo was a witness. "Genova Libera" was screened at the Genova Film Festival in 2002. In 2004 he started shooting the feature film "Torino Nera (Black Turin)" which is presented in Turin in April 2009. Torino Nera is his first movie because he never made a short movie. The movie will be screened in many Italian cities. In 2009, he wrote, produced and directed, in collaboration with Luca G. Gabriele, a pilot episode of the series "2 di Picche (2 of Spades) that is presented in Turin in January 2010 and posted on YouTube, followed by another episode entitled "Lucause vs 2 di Picche (Lucause vs 2 of Spades)" always on Youtube in 2011. In 2012 he wrote and began shooting the web series "2 di Picche (2 of Spades Web Series)" that consists of 13 episodes plus 4 spin off episodes. One of the main actors from the previous pilot episodes (Davide Capostagno) is replaced by Alex Lucchesi in the main role of Gerda. The series will be published probably in October 2015. In 2013 he produces the dubbing of horror short film "Anger of Dead" by Francesco Picone. In 2014 he produces the dubbing of the splatter gore short film "Fist of Jesus".
