Shaza Moharam is an Egyptian actor and filmmaker. She completed an MA in script-writing for Film and TV at Carlos III University of Madrid (2011) and Acting for the Stage and Screen at Metropolis C.E. academy, Madrid (2013). Her latest performance in "the trap" (2019), a German-Egyptian film that premiered in Cannes Critic's week, received critical acclaim. On stage, her most notable role is a lead part in Pascal Rambert's Cairo rendition of "a micro history of world economics, danced", the opening performance of D-CAF Downtown Contemporary Art Festival (2015). As a filmmaker, she is interested in exploring the borders between fiction and documentary. She is working on developing a personal essay film entitled "Mnemosyne" with the support of Doha Film Institute, Al Mawred Al Thaqafy and Kamel Lazaar Foundation.
