From an early age, he has been fascinated by everything pertaining to image and art: cinema, drawing, painting, photography, special effects make-up, cartoons... He has also been developing his imagination through books about faraway and unknown lands, comics... At the age of 18, he entered the fine arts department of the "École des Beaux-Arts" in Toulouse, and graduated with congratulations of the jury. From 1996 to 1998, he pursued his training at the "Superior European School for Visual Arts and Technologies" (E.E.S.A.T.I) in Poitiers. His end of studies project was a sci-fi short-film, "Exsequi V", showing a society governed by the rule of an ecclesiastical dictatorship. The movie got selected for several festivals ("Festival International de Science-fiction" in Nantes, "London Effects & Animation Festival", "Étrange Festival" in Paris, "Festival de science-fiction" in Roanne, "Liège International Festival", 4th laureate of the Centre culturel "Les Chiroux prize"). Stéphane Artus works on TV branding and packaging, advertising storyboards, and illustrations in the production stages of feature films, TV series and musicals. He also directs making-offs and video releases for various plays, including "Le siècle sera féminin", "Plus Si Affinités", and specializes in camera work. He also worked on the 3D shooting of the thriller "Frontal Enemy". He directed the humorous video-clip "Coeur Eolienne" featuring singer Cynthia Prion. He used is as a teaser for his short-film project "Les Aventures de Cynthia Prion", with actress and comedian Camille Chamoux, produced by "La Terre Tourne". This horror comedy recounts Cynthia Prion's misfortunes encounter with zombies...
