John Placencia

The son of two teachers, director John Placencia was born and raised in Southern California, where he showed an affinity for movie making at an early age. He catapulted his passion of filmmaking into higher education where he majored in Directing and Writing at the Los Angeles Film School, took various television and film production classes at Cal State Long Beach, and obtained a degree in Liberal Arts from San Bernardino Valley College. Along with having an extensive knowledge of every faucet of the movie making process, John is also an accomplished musician on guitar, drums and vocals, having released several albums along with composing the soundtrack on a few of his films. Besides working to fulfill his lifelong dream of becoming a feature film director, John is a connoisseur of art and photography.
