Amy Baklini is a filmmaker, actor, and recent graduate of UCLA's Professional Screenwriting Program. She grew up as a competitive tennis player spending her summers traveling around the southwest competing in tournaments. Although she did not compete at the collegiate level, she received numerous recruitment letters from universities across the country. After her mother's death, Amy decided to step away from tennis and pursue more creative endeavors. Amy has been in the industry for over a decade working on predominantly indie projects. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with her degree in theatre from the University of New Mexico. Her senior year she received the Louise Armijo Scholarship and was awarded the Violet C. Moore Award for acting. She spent her junior year abroad studying Drama at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, England. After graduating, she got a job with an indie production company in Los Angeles. While there, she was able to work in various departments learning about the ins and outs of the industry both in front of and behind the camera. These newly developed skills, acquired from the production company, led her to create/write/produce films of her own.
