Canadian-born actor Michael S. Weir was born in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada. Michaels' parents are the late Dr. Ormond A. Weir (surgeon) and writer Joan Sherman Weir. Growing up, Michael spent many summer days at Shuswap Lake and in the winter, played hockey. His early acting experiences came from voicing characters in radio plays written by his older brother Ian Weir (CBC's Arctic Air). After graduating high school, Michael moved to Vancouver to attend the professional acting program at Langara College's, Studio 58. Known for his lovable yet flawed characters, Michael spent over three decades perfecting his on stage performances in Vancouver's theatre scene. In the last 5 years Michael has been focusing on film and television. Appearing in over ten short films, his screen credits also include the CBC's Arctic Air and The Discovery Channels' Untold Stories of the E.R. Signed to Muse Artist Management, Michael has been building a character actor reputation as the go-to business man. His love of comedy is evident in the numerous comedic short films he's played lead and principal roles. Michaels' latest effort as the tortured Earl Cottrell, in Sweetness Follows(2014), is a dramatic departure from these. Michael currently lives in North Vancouver, Canada and has three children.
