Steven Krimmel was born in Fremont, California on September 6, 1988. He was raised in Newark, California throughout his entire youth and this is located within the San Francisco Bay Area. He had been passionate about film and television at an early age due to his mother taking him to the cinema for every Friday night's brand-new release. Films such as Batman Returns (1992) and Jurassic Park (1993) awakened his interest in visual storytelling and escapism. Steven focused on film studies and paid his way through college (both at De Anza College and San Francisco State University) by working as a 35mm film projectionist at his hometown movie theater. After receiving a B.A. degree in Cinema in 2010, Steven decided to also pursue acting. This is when he discovered and began scene study at the Beverly Hills Playhouse in San Francisco. Since then he has been focusing on acting, as well as filmmaking, under "KriYative Productions." He frequently collaborates with best friend and cinematographer Dustin Yates. His other main collaboration is with long-time girlfriend and actress: Kristine Gerolaga. Steven has also starred in many separate Bay Area and Los Angeles independent film productions. Steven's most recent short film about long-distance relationships, "Disconnection," has won Best Short Drama at the 2013 DIY Film Festival. Steven has also won Best Editor at the 2013 Asians on Film Festival.
