Liz Rosenfeld is a Berlin-based filmmaker and performer who works with moving images and performance in order to convey a sense of past and future histories. Rosenfeld is invested in concepts of how history can be queered and experienced through the moment and the ways in which it is lived and remembered. She is known for her experimental films, The Surface Tension Trilogy, which premiered at The Barbican in London in November 2015 ( World Premier) , as well as The German Historical Museum in December 2015 ( German Premiere). She was the Summer 2017 London Goethe-Institut Artist In Residence at The LUX, the largest artist film archive in Europe. Her newest solo performance, "If You Ask Me What I Want, I'll Tell You. I want Everything," premiered at Sophiensaele In November 2017.Rosenfeld is part of the Berlin film production collective NowMomentNow, and one of the founding members of the food- performance group foodGASM, which explores the intersection of creative labor, food, and industry. Rosenfeld's film work is represented and distributed by the Video Data Bank and LUX Moving Image. Rosenfeld has worked numerous times with performer choreographer Jeremy Wade & Jared Gradinger. She has collaborated with Swedish film director, Marit Östberg, and the Swedish pop band, The Knife.
