Laura Lundy

Laura Lundy is a New York-based producer and director. She is the founder of Blue Panther Productions and co-founder of Creative Consultants. Lundy was born in Portland, Oregon, the child of Michael David Lundy, an artist, and Renee Therese Dearborn, a writer. She has two children with San Francisco Bay Area actor Robert Lundy-Paine, Brigette Lundy-Paine and Benjamin Lundy-Paine. She graduated from Pomona College (Los Angeles) with a major in theatre, and Lewis & Clark College (Portland) with a graduate degree in teaching Deaf children. She trained with RADA in London as an exchange student. Lundy was an actress in Portland, where she worked with Artists Repertory Theatre, Portland Repertory Theatre, The New Rose, Triangle Productions, and many others. She appeared as costumer Pamela Jarvis in Bill Plympton's comedy "Guns on the Clackamas" (1995). Lundy was the Artistic Director for Virago Theatre Company in the San Francisco Bay Area (2005-2015), where she developed, produced and/or directed over 30 original plays. She began producing theatre independently in 2014 and produces independent and commercial theatre in the SF Bay, Los Angeles, New York, and London. Lundy was on the investment team for the 2018 Broadway revival of "Children of a Lesser God", and is the producer of "Love Goddess, the Rita Hayworth Musical." She produced "What They Said About Love" with Steve Budd in London (2019), the international tour of "Dylan Brody's Driving Hollywood" (2017), the New York run of Alicia Dattner's "The Oy of Sex" (2016) George Pfirrmann's "AROUSAL" and Harold Pinter's "The Lover" in San Francisco (2013), Los Angeles (2014), and New York (The Flea Theater, 2014), and the New York premiere of "The Singularity" (The Flea Theater, 2015).
