14/03/2023 Jay Wheddon has won multiple writing accolades in the US and UK since his return to writing during the pandemic, including for the feature script 'Going T*Ts Up' shining a light on male cancer and the 9/11 short 'Remember Me'. He has written 'Showtime' alongside director Andy Morahan, and has action and gangland scripts ready to go. His first action novel is in the editorial stage and he has completed a humorous blog bio. Jay is also a lifetime comic collector. Jay returned to writing after pursuing other ventures, having in the early 2000s written, produced and directed his own short films 'FLINCH', which starred himself and Frank Harper, and 'For Want of a Kiss', which garnered a $3.5m offer to write and produce the feature version. Jay started as an actor at the London Centre of Theatrical Studies following originally working in the building trade.
